Services at St Michael's

Our worship is in the sensible catholic tradition of the Church of England. Reverent without being solemn, traditional but with a light touch.

On Sundays our service takes the form of an inclusive Parish Communion. Along with hymns the service is sung and there is a sermon (not too long). St Michael’s offers grown up worship at which children are very welcome and generally head straight for the toys in the Childrens’ Corner where their parents can also spend the service on easy chairs as an alternative to slipping into a nearby pew.

On the first Sunday of the month a Sunday school is held during the service and from time to time throughout the year there are additional activities for children called Little Mikes.

The special times of the year like Christmas and Easter are very special at St Michael’s and draw large congregations who value traditional worship which they can feel part of.

Incense is used at some of our services.
